Mission

Alone
He took the bus
Headed up north
A four-hour ride
To a strange town
Duty
He spoke the Word
Though not his own
Delighted flock
Praise from their lips
Stranded
The bus moved on
A kind woman
Offered a couch
Slept unsoundly
Homeward
Dirty yet full
He left early
With a big smile
Peace in his heart
